Data Recovery

Dead laptop? Failing or near-failing hard drive? Deleted files? We may be able to recover it. First, make sure that you’re keeping up-to-date backups at all times on an external drive and/or a cloud service. Next, bring your backup on by and we’ll take care of the rest. Don’t have a backup? Depending on the state of the drive, we may be able to recover the data.

We charge a sliding scale based upon the amount of data to transfer and the severity of data loss.

Please note: Metro Computerworks provides no guarantee of the integrity of data or the ability to recover it.

Deleted Files

Accidentally deleted your tax information, or some other valuable files? The good news is that your data may not be completely gone yet. When a file is deleted, the reference that points to the data is removed, telling the computer that block of data is free space to use for other files. Depending on the size and how long you’ve been using your computer after the deletion, our tools may re-find that data and re-establish that reference, effectively reversing the deletion process.

Failing Drive

Is your hard drive on the verge of failing? Not to worry. We can replace your drive with a brand new solid state drive (SSD), and transfer most, if not all, of your data. Depending on the severity of hard drive failure, the process may take two weeks or more.

Failed Media

Completely failed drive, or physically damaged? While we may not be able to recover anything with our tools, we have partnered with DriveSavers, as well as Revenant Data Recovery, to recover as much as possible. Both companies feature ISO certified clean rooms, transparent and competitive pricing, and astonishing customer service.
